The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. “May 5th is Duanyang. The door is filled with mugwort, and the house is fragrant”. Whenever this nursery rhyme rings, the Dragon Boat Festival with a strong atmosphere is coming!

On the afternoon of May 31, 2022, the 6th “Smart Craftsman” Zongzi Making Contest was held by the Company on the 2 floor of Progress Building under the theme ”With the fragrant leaves welcoming the Dragon Boat Festival, the government and enterprises pay tribute to the Party’s kindness together”. All leaders of non-public enterprise party committees, tax bureaus, discipline working committees, government party committees, family planning associations, Jinshan Central Primary School, Tailong Commercial Bank and other co-founders in Taiwanese Investment Zone were invited to feel the strong atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival.

On behalf of the Luo Lih-Fen Group, Ms. Luo Lih-Fen, President of the Group, attended the Contest. She thanked the co-founders for their long support for Luo Lih-Fen Group, wished everyone good results in today’s Contest, and wished everyone good luck for the Dragon Boat Festival!

Zhang Yihui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Taiwanese Investment Zone and Secretary of the Party Committee of Non-public Enterprises, delivered a speech on behalf of the co-founders, thanked Luo Lih-Fen Group for organizing the event, and hoped that through such event, the co-founders would be more closely connected.

With a command from the host, a Contest between speed and shape kicked off, and all the participating team members exerted their best efforts to compete with each other. All operations, i.e. leave taking, sticky rice scooping, pressing, sealing and bundling, respectively, were all conducted in a smooth and fluent way. With a pair of skillful dancing hands, pieces of fragrant leaves and plump sticky rice soon turned into plump Zongzis. The scene was filled with the faint fragrance of leaves and sticky rice.

At this moment, the delicate fragrance of the leaves and sticky rice, together with the laughter of everyone, floated over the venue of the Contest. After 90 minutes of fierce competition, Zongzis were presented to everyone. The judges carefully checked the quantity, shape and tightness of Zongzi, and finally determined the first, second and third prizes.
